Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of BotBrowser software and fingerprint profiles ('the Software'). By downloading or using the Software, you agree to these Terms.

1. What BotBrowser Is

BotBrowser is a privacy-first browser kernel based on Chromium. Its primary purpose is to protect the real hardware fingerprint of the underlying machine from being exposed to websites and fingerprinting systems. The browser controls what signals are presented, so actual device characteristics do not leak to trackers. It runs entirely on the licensee's own infrastructure. It has no cloud backend, no server-side component, and makes no outbound connections to BotBrowser infrastructure during operation. All browser activity, session data, and end-user data remain on the licensee's systems at all times. BotBrowser does not provide, operate, or interface with any external API.

2. License

Subject to these Terms and timely payment, BotBrowser grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software and associated fingerprint profiles for your internal business operations during the subscription period. No ownership rights are transferred. Sublicensing, redistribution, or resale of the Software or profiles without prior written consent is prohibited.

3. Permitted Uses

  • Protecting the real device fingerprint from leaking to websites, fingerprinting systems, and cross-site trackers
  • Authorized web automation, data access, and browser-based workflows for legitimate business purposes
  • Privacy protection, browser compatibility testing, and fingerprint research in professional environments

4. Prohibited Uses

  • Unauthorized access to computer systems in violation of applicable computer access laws (such as the CFAA or equivalent)
  • Fraud, identity theft, phishing, or other criminal activity
  • Redistribution or resale of the Software or fingerprint profiles to unauthorized third parties
  • Use in jurisdictions or by persons subject to applicable trade sanctions or export control restrictions

5. Licensee Responsibility

You are responsible for your use of the Software and for compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction. BotBrowser provides browser technology; the licensee determines how and where it is deployed. BotBrowser does not monitor how the Software is used and accepts no liability for the licensee's downstream activities.

6. Payment and Subscriptions

Website subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually depending on the plan selected). Payment for website purchases is processed by Stripe, Inc. Enterprise, invoiced, or custom subscriptions may use different billing cycles, payment methods, renewal terms, or payment processors as stated in the accepted Quote, Order Form, or invoice. Website subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel a website subscription at any time through your Stripe customer portal or by contacting support@botbrowser.io. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period. Prices may change with 30 days written notice. For website purchases, see our Refund Policy for details.

7. Intellectual Property

The Software, fingerprint profiles, and all related materials are the exclusive property of BotBrowser. These Terms grant no ownership rights.

8. No Warranty

The Software is provided 'as is'. BotBrowser does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that fingerprint profiles will produce any specific outcome on any particular website or platform. Fingerprint behavior depends on the target environment and may change over time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BotBrowser's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Software shall not exceed the fees paid in the three months preceding the claim. BotBrowser is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

Unless a fixed term or separate termination process is stated in an accepted Quote, Order Form, or invoice, either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days written notice. In the event of a material breach by the licensee, BotBrowser may suspend the license with written notice and allow 14 days to cure. If the breach is not cured, BotBrowser may terminate immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved within 30 days, either party may refer the dispute to binding arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, with the seat of arbitration in Hong Kong. If you enter into a separately negotiated enterprise agreement, accepted Quote, Order Form, or invoice that specifies different dispute procedures, that document controls for that transaction.
